Franchising & Trade
confirms its leadership among Italian trade franchising exhibitions as well as its outstanding position among international trade shows. Indeed, with over 12,000 visitors, it featured a 12% increase compared with the 2008 edition. The significant turnout of foreign operators strengthens the international nature of this exhibition.
The project launched by Franchising & Trade aimed at supporting both franchisees and franchisors in their business growth doesn’t end with the exhibition.
Indeed, in the coming months
a number of initiatives will be put in place in order to ensure that the dialogue started at the exhibition pavilions continues across the franchising universe.

> The novelties presented at the 24th edition
received great consensus among visitors
Great success for doctor "Shop" and doctor "Me&Myself"
The area devoted to opening your own business ("Mettersi in proprio") offered operators valuable hints, solutions,
and suggestions on how to work in franchising

Seminars, information desks, franchising lessons, in-depth analyses on the sales process and on customer relations, assessment on one’s own attitudes and entrepreneurial skills: a whole range of opportunities and issues were discussed and analyzed in the area devoted to opening your own business:
"
Mettersi in proprio" promoted by the Milan Chamber of Commerce.
Indeed, this was one of the novelties of this edition that gathered a lot of consensus and therefore will continue throughout the year to be then replicated in the 2010 edition. More specifically, attendees showed a lot of interest in doctor "Shop" and doctor "Me&Myself", two initiatives during which Cristina Cervieri, Laura Giunti, Giovanna Maulino, and Giuseppe Ravera offered their consulting services to as many as 185 visitors. Also the Matching Program was quite successful, i.e. the service aimed at boosting the operators’ business by matching demand and supply. Finally, a large audience attended the opening conference and the events that took place during the exhibition.

> Entrepreneurs from South America, China,
and Serbia interested in promoting the brand
MEGLIOXTE: the brand that captured operators’ attention
Great satisfaction for the high turnout and high quality of contacts

"All in all, the outcome of this edition has been quite positive" says Ms. Maria Grazia Giorgianni, Communication and Marketing Manager for Reale Group S.r.l., i.e. the company that at Franchising & Trade presented MEGLIOXTE- natural food products with highly innovative contents based on natural flour with no genetically modified organisms.
"We noted great interest not only among Italian operators but also among representatives of foreign markets, especially South America, Serbia, and China.
The turnout and quality of contacts were good.
All in all, the exhibition was very well organized."

> Both professionals and young participants
were enthusiastic about the opportunities
offered by the company

Proposals by SMMART POST
reaped consensus among visitors
According to Mr. Maniglio:
"The outcome was excellent. Our business is modern and dynamic "
"It went very well, I’m happy of this," says Mr. Luca Maniglio, General Manager of Smmart Post, one of the largest and most successful industrial groups working in different sectors ranging from hybrid post to direct marketing, from door to door, to delivery of promotional mail.
"This was our first time and the outcome has been excellent. Visitors included professionals looking for a business to invest their future in, who were truly interested in learning more about our solutions and the opportunities that we offer. We also presented our novelties to younger visitors – i.e. beginners who are interested in starting their own entrepreneurial career – who fully understood the benefits and opportunities that can be seized from a modern, dynamic business belonging to a value chain, i.e. digital printing, that is continuously growing and evolving."

> Fewer contacts but of a higher quality
and more oriented to closing
Yo Yogurt collected franchising applications
both from Italy and from abroad
The project formula targeted to a heterogeneous audience was well accepted
photo "The number of contacts decreased compared to the past edition, but conversely quality was higher." In summary, this is the general comment on this edition of F&T made by Mr. Daniele Laino, the founding partner of Yo Yogurt, i.e. the franchising company that establishes and manages a chain of yogurt shops and manufactures excellent frozen yogurt.
This is an ideal product for children with their parents, as well as for the elderly, boys and girls, and professionals. It is good and healthy and at the same time tasty, so it fulfils every need, also those of people who watch their weight.
Today, Yo Yogurt has 60 points of sale scattered throughout Italy and 20 in Europe. "We met Italian operators who are seriously interested in sharing our project - explains Mr. Laino – as well as foreign visitors who provided interesting hints, especially prospective franchisees in Greece, China, and Iran." Yo Yogurt is about to open franchised points of sale also in Brazil and in the United States.
The company’s strengths include a good balance between limited investments, low entrepreneurial risk, and high profitability. This is the success formula of Yoyogurt Franchising, which the company achieved also through ongoing investments in quality, communication, POS image, packaging, and merchandising.

> Satisfaction for contacts,
and an invitation to review the exhibition layout
With Brekky Point you are sure to purchase everywhere
A lot of ideal locations for a quick, profitable start-up
photo "I’m happy for the contacts made during the exhibition but not so much about the exhibition layout, which in my opinion generated confusion and sometimes disoriented the visitors, and about the stand location." This is the comment made by Mr. Mauro Frabetti, Sales Manager for Italy for Brekky Point, i.e. a leading company in the distribution of products through vending machines
including the most diverse items ranging from soft drinks to supermarket products, to para-pharmaceuticals, to personal care items. This is a growing market where Brekky Point has a strong foothold based on an expansion plan aimed at offering a full range of services both in city historical centers, pedestrian or high-traffic areas, and at gas stations, industrial sites, hospitals and tourism facilities.
