Duemme: watches by the most prestigious brands
photo
From classical vintage items to the most sophisticated modern pieces,
but also jewellery and precious stones
Duemme was set up in 1999 as a young and dynamic company thanks to the 30-year experience of its founding father and sole director, Mr. Maurizio Bosio. Born in a family of watchmakers (his father Gianfranco Bosio and great uncle Amedeo Leorati), at the age of 14 he started to disassemble his first watches in his father’s laboratory.

The company’s core business is wristwatches, ranging from classical vintage to highly sophisticated modern pieces of the most prestigious brands such as "Audemars Piguet, Baume&Mercier, Breguet, Breitling, Cartier, Daniel Roth, Franck Muller, Grahm. Jaeger LeCultre, IWC, Longines, Omega, Panerai, Patek Philippe, Roger DuBuis, Rolex, Tudor, Varcheron Constantin, Zenith", but at the same time it also keeps an eye on the magnificent world of jewellery and precious stones.

The main goal of Duemme is to be as close as possible to its customers and meet their requirements. This is why the company opted for an “Internet shop window” instead of a traditional one.
Can you anticipate some of the items that shall be exhibited at the fairgrounds?
“I cannot guarantee that they will still be available in November, says Mr. Bosio, but I hope I will be able to exhibit wonderful watches such as a piece in yellow gold with perpetual calendar by Patek Philippe which is no longer manufactured, a new piece by Jeager LeCoultre Lady Florale Joellery in white gold with diamonds and yellow sapphires, a Ferrari-branded rattrappante foudroyante chronograph by Girard Perregaux in yellow gold manufactured in 250 pieces, a Rolex Submariner in yellow gold and plexi-glass manufactured in the 1970’s with chronometric certificate, and many more masterpieces that shall draw the attention of collectors and amateurs.”

A.N.G.E.L.O., the broadest selection
of vintage items can be found at Lugo
Over 80,000 items, accessories and a historical archive
with pieces from all over the world
photo A three-storey building in the city center of Lugo (Ravenna) is entirely devoted to vintage clothes with over 80,000 used items, thousands of accessories, all of them selected, sorted, and cleaned, and an archive – accessible only upon appointment – with a collection of original vintage garments, dating back to a period ranging from 1890 to 1980, available for viewing and hiring, mainly offered to fashion design studios, but also to exhibitions, movie and TV productions, and photo services.
This is A.N.G.E.L.O., a paradise on Earth for vintage fans, created by Angelo Caroli.

“On the ground floor – explains Mr. Caroli – there is a retail section where vintage clothes and accessories are sold mainly to young people, with a selection of fun items at reasonable prices.
There, you can find clothes from the 1960’s and 1970’s and early 1980’s, jeans, sportswear, military clothes and costumizing items. On the first floor, there is the “Vintage Room” with the most valuable and original Cult garments, clothes from the 1940’s and 1950’s, rare jeans and garments by great fashion designers of the past such as Chanel, Hermès, Emilio Pucci, YSL, etc. All this is set in an atelier atmosphere.
The greenhouse hosts an open market with low-cost vintage items, alongside with a selection of modernist items from the 1960’s and 70’s, also for sale.
On the top floor, there is a historical archive of vintage items, collected from all over the world and sorted, catalogued, and exhibited in the only permanent museum devoted to fashion history of this century, which also offers its pieces for hire.
The archive contains “true” and “original” garments that belong to everyday life and to our history: military, civilian, working and sport clothes, daytime and evening/night clothes, not only by great tailors but also common items that were frequently used in past years.”
The archive is used by major Italian and foreign fashion designers, but also by music production companies to shoot videoclips, movie and TV shows and for fashion articles. A.N.G.E.L.O.’s items have been photographed by great photographers such as Helmut Newton, Paolo Roversi, Walter Chin, Giovanni Gastel, Bruce Weber...
“Milan is the perfect meeting point for offering your items to customers, fashion designers, and journalists. It is a place where common visitors come together with experts, thus creating a unique mix.”
Can you describe some of the objects that you are going to take to Milan?
“We shall offer a whole series of items ranging from men’s and women’s vintage clothes by famous brands such as Ysl, Pucci, Roberta di Camerino, Chanel, Dior, Cardin..., to accessories (belts, bags, ties, shoes), as well as military clothes and classical vintage clothes for everyday use. Among the novelties that deserve special attention are vintage glasses designed by top brands, all unused, from the 1970’s and 80’s.”
