We wanted Sì SposaItalia Collezioni to take up the high-standing task of becoming the ambassador of Italian Bridal Style worldwide, not only for its individual products whose quality is the result of the well-known handicraft skills of the Italian tailoring tradition coupled with the latest manufacturing techniques but also because, in the wake of the new awareness acquired in this sector, we wanted it to go abroad as a “style school” for top-end fashion products. For this reason, Sì SposaItalia Collezioni shall host its visitors in a renewed and special setting, where the scheduled fashion shows shall be the climax of the whole exhibition.” A lot of buyers are expected to come to the exhibition. More specifically, thanks to the cooperation with ICE (the Italian Foreign Trade Institute), Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni shall be visited by delegations from Russia, Hong Kong, the USA, South Korea, Japan, Kazakhstan, Greece and Uzbekistan. | Pierre Cardin, Celeste, Radiosa, Rocky Moles: an unforgettable wedding Lines that extol femininity. A rigorous style for tailored men’s suits |
![]() |
Pierre Cardin: La mode c'est moi As a brand, Pierre Cardin has always stood for avant guarde, glamour, and trend. Pierre Cardin's bride expresses her sophisticated personality letting herself be wound up by textiles that are often assembled to one another such as silk, embroidered gauze, metal silk taffetas, tulle, and pleated organza, while at the same time using color as a tool for seducing: from delicate watery green to sophisticated lilac, to passionate red. Stirring deep emotions since the very first trial, a dress by Pierre Cardin complements the bride’s harmony with its gentle and extremely feminine line, ranging from flowing to romantic, thus fulfilling a broad range of needs and tastes, while providing top-level technical, modeling and style contents. Pierre Cardin's Cerimonia formal wear collection Pierre Cardin tailors its dresses belonging to the collection of formal wear named Cerimonia using fabrics that are pleasant to wear such as silk, satin, chiffon, and embroideries, with a focus on brighter colors. Feminine, personal and exclusive, this line ranges from ever-green suits to the most unconventional dresses. |

| Rocky Moles Radiosa Uomo What Rocky Moles Radiosa Uomo designed for its men’s collection is a sophisticated universe made of precious details, which indeed are defined as jewel accessories: from shirts to shoes, from belts to cuff-links. The new 2009 collection is dedicated to a man who is looking for a rigorous style in a strictly tailored suit featuring the most modern lines, which would make him the incomparable star of his wedding. Radiosa The Radiosa 2009 bridal collection draws inspiration from a romantic type of femininity, which however is always abreast with the latest fashion trends. The collection is comprised of dresses that mirror seductive mermaid-like shapes, with precious faded embroideries applied onto the finest fabrics whose metal and iridescent reflexes radiate light. These dresses evoke the delicateness of flower petals, applied on bodices and skirts featuring thick and asymmetric or light drapes that extol the skirt’s sensuality. Precious chantilly lace, organza and taffetas, preciously decorated with crystals and silk threads, range from hues of antique pink to coral, from peach to gold, all the way to ivory white. Furthermore, the 2009 collection includes dresses with a clean, balanced line of top tailoring quality mainly in several hues of delicate and essential ivory white. Celeste The 2009 Celeste collection is a fully fledged one: it is always abreast with the times with its romantic, sophisticated, high-class but also trendy dresses, with unlined and transparent bodices. The Celeste collection encompasses structured, rich, romantic, embroidered, draped dresses with long tails and long sleeves, or soft and linear dresses. All models are made with extremely modern fabrics, such as organza, taffeta, or satin, tulle, and chiffon. A large variety of models and colors is available, including two-color ivory/pink options, ivory/ivory or champagne, although this collection still treasures the classical ever-green white. The collection also features good wearability, meeting the requirements of both small and large sizes, ranging from a magnificent style to the perfection of a linear style. |

| “I can't, I'm getting married tomorrow.” This is the collection by De La Cierva & Nicolas Natural silks with embroidered or overlapping flowery ornaments stand out as protagonists |
![]() |
The “magic potion allowing to guess” the design of a wedding gown is unforeseeable. Dolores Nicolas, the fashion designer of De la Cierva & Nicolas, has poetically outlined and designed a collection called “I can't. I'm getting married tomorrow.” The bride wearing a dress by De la Cierva & Nicolas takes a distance from popular fashions and other media-supported brands dressing cover-like brides. The 2009 proposals re-interpret dresses that are intertwined with futuristic concepts but still feature universal reminders of past eras characterized by major art movements: Paris and the carefree loud chaos of the 1920's unveil the interest and freedom that women showed when it came to selecting their clothes. Textures with handicraft trimming and finishing stand out in this collection, where natural silks with embroidered overlapping flowery ornaments stand out as protagonists and where the working system used is typical of old-style sewing. Tulle, taffeta, organza live together in perfect harmony with the fabrics thanks to the ergonomic and technological devices used: small sequins, natural feathers, glass filaments, flakes of paper and silk, embroidered together, breath-taking trimmings, celestial pleats, and inlays of moonlike lace. New hues of beige permeate the entire collection, highlighting femininity. |
| The fashion designer privileges ivory-color dresses from the past, a color approaching water white, mother pearl of water lilies, white chocolate and “sugar kiss” cream, while never forgetting transparency: dill, anise, and lily of the valley make up the beige palette shedding light over the stars of the universe. These are dresses with a soul, that uncover the charming relationship between the spirit and the body. These dresses are perfectly suited for enjoying one of the happiest days in a woman's life: women in the “I order and command” style. |

| The colors of the Andalusian tradition dominate Matilde Cano's collections “City of Light" is the theme of the new 2009 spring-summer collection |
![]() |
The designer Matilde Cano has reaped many successes since she presented her first prêt-à-porter collection back in 1976. Since then, her evening dress, party and formal wear have won a place amongst the biggest names in Spanish fashion. Her creations, inspired in the chromatic variety found in nature, have a strong flavour of Andalusia; proof of the passion Matilde Cano holds for her native land. Matilde Cano’s proposals can be summarised in an original fusion of fabrics and colours, creating unique garments with an enveloping, sheer style. Luminosity always plays a leading role in her work. |
| The firm’s first boutique was opened to the public in Matilde Cano’s birthplace. Her presence has extended since then, and she now has seven stores in Spain. Matilde Cano is more than the name of a firm. It is a concept in carefully worked lines that define a life style that is now appreciated at an international level. The Italian and Portuguese markets were the first to include dresses from this Cordobes designer, and she is now present in over 20 countries worldwide. She currently sells on markets in countries such as France, Italy, Portugal, Ireland, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, different countries in Eastern Europe and on the American market. This all gives an insight into the know-how and stature behind designer Matilde Cano, and of how she has become a reference in fashion beyond our boundaries. Paris, Moscow, Brussels, Milan, Barcelona, Bilbao, Malaga and Madrid are examples of cities that have seen her collections on the catwalk, achieving enthusiastic recognition. The “City of Light” is the inspiration behind the new Spring-Summer 2009 collection. Luxurious, sophisticated and elegant, Matilde Cano seeks a woman in full blossom who knows how to choose which line out of all will best enhance her beauty. A woman with exquisite sensitivity, a unique and authentic woman, who projects sureness and interior light. Always feminine, Matilde Cano offers us well-fitting dresses, with a slight play on transparency and that magnificent final touch with a “vintage” air in accessories. Rich materials such as silk and organza play the leading role, mingling harmoniously in a colour range originating in pink shades, at the same time as warmly welcoming other lighter, stronger colours. |
